WORK EXPERIENCE
Venus is a dedicated solicitor based in Hong Kong, specializing in civil and commercial litigation, personal injuries, family law and probate matters. Under the supervision of Senior Partner Mr Daniel Or, Venus has established a strong skill set and commitment to provide practical solutions to clients with their interests at heart. Venus has been a sole advocate in assessment hearings and interlocutory applications at District Court level.
Throughout her career, Venus has successfully handled a variety of cases, including contractual disputes, enforcement of awards, and tenancy disputes. Notable achievements include representing a Mainland company in resisting striking out application in recovering HK$30 million high-profile loan agreement and involving in the advise of a prominent Hong Kong Church on trust and misrepresentation issues in property disputes.
In the realm of personal injuries, Venus has handled over 300 cases, including those involving catastrophic injuries, vulnerable individuals and minors. Her dedication to her clients is reflected in her successful settlements, including a significant case for a tetraplegic client that resulted in a settlement exceeding HK$10 million.
Venus also has a strong focus on family law, guiding clients through divorce proceedings and ancillary relief applications. Her work has led to favorable outcomes in dependency claims and custody issues, underscoring her ability to navigate various legal matters with compassion and professionalism.
As a graduate of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Venus earned her Juris Doctor Degree with multiple scholarships for her academic achievements. She is currently a Legal Aid Panel Solicitor in Personal Injuries and Criminal Section.
Outside of her legal practice, Venus is passionate about community service and has registered as a Civil Celebrant in 2025, furthering her commitment to supporting individuals during significant life events.
