Ruby graduated from the University of Birmingham in 1987 with a LLB (Hons).  She took the Solicitors’ Final Exams in England in 1988 and was awarded a First Class Honour.  She lived in Canada for a few years in the early 1990s and attended the University of Toronto and the Osgoode Hall Law School for her legal qualifications in Ontario.

Ruby has extensive experience addressing a wide range of issues involving corporate and commercial law, corporate finance and litigation in both Hong Kong and Canada. She has numerous years of experience with a City law firm and law firms in Toronto specializing in corporate finance, corporate acquisitions, amalgamations and reorganizations as well as sale and purchase of businesses.   She worked as an in-house counsel with ExxonMobil in Hong Kong for over 13 years and has accumulated vast experience in the petroleum and petrochemical businesses.

Ruby joined Or & Partners as a Consultant in 2014 and became a partner in 2017.
