Dr. Hugo Chan has developed and maintained strong personal and commercial relationships with people, corporations, and governments throughout his 40 years of legal practice in Hong Kong and China. Dr. Chan is Partner to Or & Partners Hong Kong. He is a China Appointed Attesting Officer by the Ministry of Justice of China and a Notary Public.Dr. Chan had served as an appointed member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference of Shenzhen, China and a Member of the Election Committee of the Chief Executive of Hong Kong.
Dr. Chan obtained a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B) from the University of Southampton in 1978 and was admitted as a Solicitor of Hong Kong in 1981. He has an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Olivet Nazarene University, USA and a Doctorate of Ministry from the Global Center For Church—Based Theological Education, Iowa, USA.
